OUR STORY

1. The Beginning

What began in 1971 by our founder Mr. T.P. Velsamy with just one wooden chekku and a whole lot of conviction is now an infamous oil brand in the heart of Tamil Nadu. At a time when oil blending was the norm, he stood his ground on one simple value- if it isn’t 100% pure, it isn’t VVR. Within a decade the brand grew silently adding rice to its portfolio and soon became a common household name known for trust, quality, and unmatched purity, not through slogans but through sincerity.

3. Our Promise Lives On

Today, Mr. V. Vibin Chakkaravarthy and Mr. V. Naveen Chakkaravarthy, the third generation continues to uphold the legacy while switching to advanced cold-press machinery, automating the rice units, and expanding digital and global presence. Even after five decades of business one thing has never been compromised -VVR’s Standards. And that’s how we plan to carry this legacy forward, one honest drop and one trusted grain, at a time.

2. A Legacy

When Mr. Velsamy passed away unexpectedly, the then teenagers Mr. V. Karunakaraja and Mr. V. Vaikundaraja. inherited a promise to earn people’s trust. Slowly, VVR’s oils and rice reached new towns, new states, and even new shores, as the brothers built strong export networks connecting VVR to the UAE, Europe, and the US.
